Damaged Traffic Signal in South Lincoln Expected to Slow Commuters

Lincoln police are asking vehicles to avoid the intersection of 40th and South Street in South Lincoln after a weekend traffic accident nearly took out the signal.

That signal is now powerless and city contractors say it will be about two weeks before everything is repaired.

Until then, if you have to use the intersection, police say consider it a four way stop.

Traffic will also be limited to one lane and left turns won’t be allowed.
