Freshman guard Amir Harris will most likely miss the Big 10 Tournament with an injury to his meniscus in his left knee. The injury has Harris on crutches.
According to an NU press release, Harris picked up the injury during Nebraska’s 93-91 overtime win against Iowa on Sunday.
Harris had already missed a large chunk of the season as he battled with a bout of mono, causing him to miss 6 games midway through the season.
The Huskers already had thin depth well before Harris’s injury. Freshman guard Karrington Davis suffered a season ending injury in October. Isaac Copeland tore his ACL in a game against Maryland last month. Then in a loss to the Michigan Wolverines February 28th, Thomas Allen sprained his ankle.
Harris scored 8 points against Iowa on Sunday, including the go ahead game winning basket in overtime to down the Hawkeyes in a comeback victory.
Nebraska will play the Scarlet Knights at 5:30 in Chicago on Wednesday. Coverage will begin at 4:30 on KLIN.
