Huskers land commitment from Robert Morris transfer

The Nebraska men’s basketball team landed a commitment on Thursday afternoon from point guard and Robert Morris transfer Dachon Burke.

The junior-to-be has two years of eligibility left, but will have to sit out the upcoming season due to transfer rules. Burke had an official visit to Lincoln last Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 17.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game last season for the Colonials to earn second-team All-Northeast Conference honors.

Burke also had strong interest from St. John’s, Michigan, Pitt, Marquette, Wichita State, Miami, Nevada and St. Bonaventure.

The Huskers now have two open scholarships remaining in their 2018 recruiting class.
