Former Husker wide receiver Kenny Bell was signed by the Denver Broncos as a free agent on Wednesday.
Bell, who was a Husker from 2010-2014, has yet to play an NFL game. He was drafted in the fifth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015, but spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve due to a preseason hamstring injury. Bell spent the 2016 season on the Bucs’ practice squad, and had the same role in 2017 for the Ravens.
Bell is still Nebraska’s all-time receptions leader with 181 as well as the leader in career receiving yards with 2,689 yards. Bell is the only receiver in NU history to lead the team in receiving in each of his four years.
